ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION
In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and global user privacy standards.
In accordance with Google Play's User Data Policy, Word Trap provides players with complete autonomy and secure self-service tools to permanently delete their account, associated personal identifiers, and gameplay progress.
⚠ Permanent Action
Deleting your account permanently erases your profile, reserved username, coin balance, match statistics, and leaderboard standings. This action cannot be reversed.
How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
To protect player identity and ensure that only the verified account owner can authorize deletion, account removal is performed securely directly from within the authenticated mobile application:
- Open the Word Trap app on your Android device.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the Settings (Gear) icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation warning and tap Delete Permanently. Your data will be wiped immediately.
Already uninstalled the application?
Because Word Trap accounts are linked to your authenticated Google Play Games credentials, simply reinstall Word Trap from Google Play, sign in, and follow the 5 steps above. Alternatively, email contact@wordtrap.app with your unique User ID and we will process the removal manually within 48 hours.
What Data is Deleted?
- Authentication Record: Firebase Authentication credentials and Google Play Games bindings.
- Profile & Identity: Display name, registered unique username (freed for other players), and avatar URL.
- Game Progress & Records: Points, win streaks, leaderboard positions, and match history.
- Economy & Wallet: Virtual coin balances and gameplay transaction history.
- Device Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens.
- Matchmaking & Social: Active queue entries, friend challenge invitations, and presence records.
Data Retention Exceptions
Legally mandated financial transaction receipts processed via Google Play In-App Billing may be retained solely for accounting, anti-fraud compliance, and tax records.
