This Privacy Policy describes how Word Trap ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related online multiplayer services.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Word Trap, we may collect the following categories of information:

Account & Identity Data: Unique User ID, chosen username, display name, and avatar URL linked through Google Play Games or generated in guest mode.
Gameplay & Scores: Match turn submissions, win/loss history, leaderboard points, streak data, and game preferences.
In-App Purchases & Virtual Economy: Coin balance transactions and receipt verification tokens processed securely via Google Play In-App Billing. We do not process or store credit card details.
Technical & Diagnostics: Device model, operating system version, app version, language/locale, and crash/error reports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the multiplayer gameplay experience, turn validation, and matchmaking.
To display global rankings, friend leaderboards, and player match statistics.
To prevent cheating, unfair advantage, and duplicate account manipulation.
To verify in-app purchases and credit virtual items.
To investigate and resolve user-submitted issue reports.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with trusted third-party providers to power core game features:

Google Firebase: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for backend infrastructure and game state synchronization.
Google Play Games Services: Identity authentication, achievements, and cloud saves.
RevenueCat / Google Play Billing: Secure purchase transaction validation.
Google Mobile Ads: Ad delivery for optional rewarded bonuses.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app via Settings > Delete Account, or via our public Account Deletion Web Page.

5. Children's Privacy

Word Trap is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for prompt removal.
